What is Consequences of not obtaining a No-Objection Certificate for registered office?
Nexa Consultancy | Startup & Finance Glossary
When using a rented property as a registered office, a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the property owner is mandatory for company incorporation. Without it, the registration application will be rejected. It also serves as proof of the right to use the premises.
Startup Example: A founder tries to register their company using their rented apartment address but forgets to get an NOC from the landlord. The ROC rejects the application, delaying the incorporation process.
