What is TDS on Sale of Immovable Property (Section 194-IA)?

The buyer of an immovable property (other than agricultural land) worth ₹50 Lakhs or more is required to deduct TDS at 1% from the payment made to the seller.
Startup Example: A startup purchases an office space for ₹1 Crore. It must deduct ₹1 Lakh as TDS before paying the seller and deposit this amount with the government.
